I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
